Special Feature 1: An Unstoppable Legacy

An Unstoppable Legacy?

When the higher powers decided to scrap the dated rankings system and bring in a proper league format, Sadistic Legacy were floating around 15-20th spot and many considered them lucky to start in the first league at all.

They've instantly gone about making a point of proving those critics wrong though, with a string of very impressive performances which has left them lying 3rd in the table, and the only unbeaten team in football's top tier.

The Legacy remain unbeaten in their first
8 games of the season
With The Legacy boys getting stronger every game, many are wondering if they'll be able to keep this run of form going, after only dropping 4 points from a possible 24, placing them right on the heels of the 2 favourites; LordOfTheWings and TankFC.

LordOfTheWings manager Gibster was on hand to say a few words;

"With the season still in its infancy its all to play for. We might be "bookies favorites", but one slip up and it's blown wide open.
Sadistic Legacy have had a great start to this season's campaign and have proven they have what it takes to "kick it" with the big boys. Who knows, a top 5 finish may well be within their grasp.

I wish them well in their campaign, see you on the Pitch."

After failing to stop their unbeaten run, London UFC goalkeeper Fatal Jay also had this to say;

"Sadistic Legacy have been putting in some terrific performances lately. In our 2-1 loss against them their defence proved very hard to break down and we failed to convert the chances we had.

If they can maintain their run of form it's hard not to see them securing a respectable position towards the end of the season, possibly even pushing for the title spot."

TankFC manager TheTank gave them a glowing review too, saying :

''Well I see Sadistic Legacy as a very solid team, the play football in a special way and unlike other teams, they manage to force to stay strong at the back whilst getting players foward.

This is why I think Sadistic Legacy are very much up for the title this season. It's only early days but later in the season when the competition heats up, Sadistic Legacy will be one of our main rivals. - Interview''

It hasn't been easy for The Legacy so far though, most notably as 7 of their opening 8 games have been away from home, and they haven't been exactly watertight at the back either, but thanks to prolific goalscorers and a little good fortune, they've hit a good patch of form.

Nottm Reds 3 - 3 Sadistic Legacy

After their latest fixture against London UFC, some of the Legacy players attended a press conference;

AVFCRoss remains optimistic
that they can emulate the
success of Arsenal's 03-04
season
Reporter ''The Legacy have made an impressive start to the season, and are the only unbeaten team in the league, do you realistically think you can keep this run of form going?''

AVFCRoss : ''I hope so, we've started better than anyone expected, including ourselves, so we're a bit surprised, but optimistic.
It will be a tough season, and we know how difficult the concept of becoming the next Invincibles is.''

RyanBJK : ''Well, we're trying not to get too far ahead of ourselves, I don't think any of the lads expected such a good start to
be honest. Yes we're on a great run at the moment, but it's still early days. We're still to play a few of the top
teams in this league, though on our day I think we could beat anyone.''

PaulNewman : ''At the moment, the run has definitely boosted morale within the team, we all know that realistically the task of going unbeaten is near-impossible, however dreams are dreamt for a reason, and this could be the start of our very own legacy.''

Showtime : ''I think this unbeaten run will continue because it has instilled a lot of confidence into the team and has also built a lot of momentum. Even though we've played a lot of hard games coming up we have to remember that we've played 7/8 games away and haven't lost any of them which is no mean feat.

Haze : ''Being the only unbeaten team in the league isnt an easy achievement and has taken a lot of work and dedication to nail these results.''

Jerv : "It's such a relief to get off to a good start in the league, but we can't rest on our laurels. I'm fortunate to have such a great team of players behind my big black ass because I haven't been performing too well lately, but I'm sure the hard work in training will pay off soon!"

Reporter ''What do you think of your team's chances of silverwear this year?''

Leading goalscorer Stitch said ''If we keep up this unbeaten run we've got going then we've got a great chance. We won't get ahead of ourselves though, we've got another tough game tomorrow. We'll take it game by game and each of us will give it our all. ''

PaulNewman added ''I believe I've been playing at the top of my game, it helps knowing I have great players around me too, it's true what they say, there is no I in team, and at the moment we are working fantastically as a unit''

Haze : ''I think it's far too early to even think about going got glory this season but if we keep this up for a few more games i believe we will defiently be in the running.''

Showtime : ''I reckon it's too early to tell. It also depends on how long this unbeaten run lasts. At the start of the season we talked about our season objective and our goal was to finish in the top half of the table. Now we're a quarter of the way into the season and we're 1 point off the top so expectations may be raised.''

Player-Manager TheDan rounded up the press conference : ''At the start of the season, if you told me that despite our pre-season struggles, we'd be in 3rd place and unbeaten after playing 7 of our first 8 games away, I'd have slapped you for being ridiculous. I'm really proud of how the lads have been performing and ask all the fans to get behind us in the torrent of home games that is undoubtedly coming up!"

Only one thing's for certain - this is going to
be an extremely interesting season!
