Season 1 - Matchday 11 - Tank FC 6-1 Sadistic Legacy

Tank FC 6 - 1 Sadistic Legacy

Having gone 10 games unbeaten, Sadistic Legacy knew that their unbeaten record wouldn't last forever. They weren't, however, expecting what hit them this afternoon in the form of Tank FC.

Legacy continued their recent run of conceding early in matches, and found themselves 2-0 down within the first 15 minutes. The first of Tank FC's goals, which turned out to be a  recurring sight throughout the game, was a perfect example of route one football. It's clear to all that Tank FC player manager TheTank wants his side to copy Stoke City's long ball style of play.
Legacy dropped one place to 5th after their first loss of the season.

Straight from kick off, a long ball forward from Ghaik found Lee Johnson on the edge of the eighteen yard box, who beat RyanBJK to the ball and headed the ball past the stranded keeper. Eight minutes later, Tank FC were 2-0 up. Some great skill by Ksq saw him shrug off two challenges from Legacy's AVFCRoss and PervyJerv, and his long ball found Amun just outside the box. The striker took one shot before slotting the ball into the bottom corner beyond the desperate dive of RyanBJK.

Legacy were hoping to go into the break at 2-0 and try to regroup during the interval but their hopes were shattered when Player/Manager TheDan was robbed by Amun, who highlighted Legacy's poor defending by taking on 3 defenders before rifling an unstoppable shot past RyanBJK.

The second half started much like the first half, as Tank FC didn't have to wait long to make it 4-0. An Amun through ball, who proved to be a constant threat throughout the game, found Lee Johnson 25 yards out and with a lovely nutmeg on Roosell and slotted the ball past RyanBJK.

Sadistic Legacy were not going to go down without a fight however, as PervyJerv adopted the Tank FC style of play by hoofing the ball forward for Steven One Don to run onto and the striker continued his recent goalscoring form by thumping a 56th minute 30 yard piledriver into the top corner and grabbed his 4th goal in 3 games.

Any thoughts of an unlikely comeback were dashed with 20 minutes left as Chumbawamba once again hit a long ball for Estavios to chase. The striker produced a decent cross and Amun grabbed his hat trick as he flicked the ball past the Legacy keeper.

TheTank were not done yet however, as yet again a huge long ball from Ghaik found Amun who glanced home his 4th and Tank FC's 6th of the game.

This performance leaves a lot of questions for Legacy. Will they be able to bounce back from this set back? Will the defence step up against Lord Of The Wings tonight?

Man of the Match:
Steven One Don was one of the few Legacy players who can be happy with their performance today.

Reporter : After a poor performance from your team today, do you think the team will be able to pick themselves up after this setback?

Haze09 : "Of course, we've proved that we can hold our own so far this season and one bad result will not change anything. We're close knit bunch of lads."
