Season 1 - Matchday 18 - Sadistic Legacy 2-2 Nottm Reds

Sadistic Legacy 2 - 2 Nottm Reds
Steven One Don 45+2" Stitch 73"

Playing in only their second home game of the season, Sadistic Legacy would have wanted to reward their much travelled fans with a good performance and 3 points against mid-table rivals Nottm Reds.

It didn't take long for the first goal to arrive, though the Sadistic Legacy fans were to be dissappointed as Madmurdock's inch perfect cross found Rudieradford unmarked and the Nottm Reds number 10 planted a bullet header past RyanBJK.

Not content with a one goal advantage, Nottm Reds pushed for a second. The home side had RyanBJK to thank however as Xris' 23rd minute volley was well saved by the Legacy keeper.

Legacy remain in 7th after their 2-2 draw with Nottm Reds
A mixture of some great defending and some terrible dribbling skills from the usually creative Stitch twice denied Sadistic Legacy's attempts to get back on level terms.

The home side eventually found the goal they were looking for as Stitch's attempted through ball was charged down by a Nottm Reds defender, but the ball fell kindly for Steven One Don who rifled home an unstoppable 25 yard strike 2 mins into added time.

Buoyed by their performance towards the end of the first half and some carefully selected words by TheDan at half time, Sadistic Legacy started brightly. Once again Stitch was involved in a flurry of attacks as his cross met the head of AVFCRoss, but his header was well saved by Banks in the Nottm Reds goal after 52 minutes.

20 minutes later Legacy took the lead as a wonderful through ball by Steven One Don released Stitch out on the right and his pace took him past the last defender and slotted the ball past Banks.

Stitch's goal wasn't to be the winner however, as Sadistic Legacy were on the back foot for the remaining 15 minutes and a terrible mix up at the back between PaulNewman and Haze09 resulted in a poor pass from the latter which fell to Rudieradford, who saw RyanBJK off his line and lobbed the 20 year old keeper from 20 yards 4 minutes into added time.

That proved to be the last action of the match, but the Legacy fans and players confronted the referee at the final whistle as the referee inexplicably let play go on after the initial 3 minutes stoppage time that was to be added on. The team can be pleased with their performance overall, but will want to sort out their problems at the back before their next game.

Man of the Match:
Steven One Don - The striker scored an important equalizer and set up the second as the striker continued his fine form.

TheDan - "Obviously the lads will be dissappointed to have conceded so late on, but we did the same to them in the first half, and to be honest a draw was probably the fairest result, both teams played well, and I hope we can continue to impress against EmmyUtd."

Roosell - "Personally i think it was never a goal and the ref should have blown for full time, 3 minutes is 3 minutes."
