Season 1 - Matchday 15 - CrashBiskuit 0 -2 Sadistic Legacy

CrashBiskuit 0 - 2 Sadistic Legacy
Stitch 7"  -  AVFCRoss 83"

Having seen an improved performance against pablo11 in their last game despite being on the losing side, Sadistic Legacy will be delighted to have ended their 4 game losing streak.

The Legacy started brightly, and were ahead within the first 10 minutes as Fictions cross field pass found Stitch on the wide right, and having taken the ball down with his first touch, he knocked the ball past two CrashBiskuit defenders and unleashed an amazing left footed shot into the top corner beyond the despairing dive off GoonerChris.

Shocked at the bright start from the visitors, CrashBiskuit looked to get back on level terms as quickly as possible. After a few neat one-twos, Sadistic Legacy had promising defender PaulNewman to thank after a well timed challenge thwarted any danger.

Clearly buoyed by his tackle and the away fans chanting his name, PaulNewman decided to take matters into his own hands by dribbling the entire length of the pitch before seeing his well struck shot saved by GoonerChris.

The Legacy almost made it 2-0 after 26 minutes as Steven One Don's pass fell to Stitch, who's cross found the head of AVFCRoss but his goalbound header rattled the crossbar and went over.

CrashBiskuit were extremely unlucky to not go in to the break level, and Legacy had Blindman to thank as he somehow managed to miss RyanBJK's two-footed challenge on Theicestar in the box after 42 minutes.

Had the referee seen it instead of being on his knees trying  to find his whistle, Sadistic Legacy would've most definitely been reduced to 10 man, without a keeper and conceded a penalty. Theicestar's pass found hubbsy just outside the box, but his shot was saved by RyanBJK, who parried it back to hubbsy. The striker unselfishly squared it back to Theicestar who was brutally snapped down by the onrushing keeper who'd clearly taken a leaf out of Charlie Adam's book. The striker, clearly in a lot of pain, understandably avoided the Legacy goal after the incident.

The second half started a lot like the first in terms of possession, but it was CrashBiskuit who pushed for an equalizer. Haze09 had his best game in an orange and black shirt and was responsible for thwarting two goalbound shots in the space of 10 minutes.

After a dull period of poor passing by both sides, Stitch was given the freedom of the right side of the pitch, the winger dribbling past 3 players before firing straight at Goonerchris after 64 mins.

CrashBiskuit offered little after that, and Legacy got the second goal their performance deserved as Fiction went on one of his trademark runs from midfield and sent a perfect through ball for Ross, whos shot was blocked by a CrashBiskuit defender and as StevenOneDon  closed down the defender, he forced the mistake and released Ross to clip the ball over the onrushing Biskuit keeper Goonerchris after 83 minutes and add to his impressive assist tally.

As the final whistle blew, the Legacy team were clearly overjoyed at their performance and it was clear that they were ecstatic with keeping their first clean sheet of the season.

Man of the Match:
Haze09 - His best performance in a Legacy shirt and was the main reason behind the teams first clean sheet this season.

TheDan - "It's good to finally pick up some points today after 4 dissapointing performances - hopefully this can give us a bit of momentum going into another tough fixture against Toon Terrors."
